about the doctor

Dr. Vargas graduated from Palmer chiropractic College magna cum laude in 1984. He is a member of the ANJC (Association of New Jersey Chiropractors) and is currently on the board of the CNJC (Council of New Jersey Chiropractors. He is also a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), and is certified in the Webster technique. Patients have been helped at his private facility, The Clark Chiropractic Center since 1987. Having completed additional training and studies for pregnant women, infants and children, Dr. Vargas’ practice is now comprised of patients that range from newborns to senior adults.

The care that patients receive at the Clark Chiropractic Center starts with an introduction to chiropractic philosophy. Patients become informed through this program about chiropractic and learn how this method of care actually empowers the body to function at a higher rate, thereby helping the body to resist illness, have more energy and have increased function in general. In his work Dr. Vargas’ passion does NOT center on the treatment of illness. It is, instead, to disseminate through education, the truth about chiropractic care and how applying it will unleash the bodies own healing ability.

For this purpose, Dr. Vargas has met with doctors and other healthcare professionals to educate them away from the stereotypical cliché’s and misnomers of chiropractic. The most productive meetings have been with pediatricians and obstetricians as these professionals seek to reduce delivery complications and birth trauma of both mother and baby. Today, new parents-to-be are understanding the rewards for themselves and their children in minimizing medical intervention and are opting for home births and birthing centers. Thus resulting in a close working relationship between Dr. Vargas and midwives. In order to continue to help people and pursue the ongoing education about the true chiropractic mission, Dr. Vargas has developed many talks covering a variety of health topics, which include;

  1. Chiropractic orientation
  2. Raising healthy children
  3. 6 steps to optimal wellness
  4. The vaccine controversy
  5. The power that made the body heals the body
    (Spiritual health and chiropractic).

In addition to his lectures and his practice, Dr. Vargas has also been involved with a large wellness project that took him and a number of fellow chiropractors to the Dominican Republic to help the impoverished people there. They provided care as well as educating them in the benefits of chiropractic.

Dr. Vargas has been married to his wife Cheryl for twenty-two years. They have six children ages six months to sixteen years old. When not in the office he enjoys outdoor activities with the family, including hiking, kayaking, and jogging.
